Elevator Love
“And when Love speaks, the voices of all the gods make heaven drowsy with its harmony.” — William Shakespeare
I recently drove to Texas from California, and a week later, back again. On my trip back I stopped for a few days at a place I consider ‘very special.’ It is a place especially built to enhance active meditative experience. This time around I did indeed experience something very special, something I can barely put into words here.
I have been to this place many times before over the past almost two decades, and I have had many different types of experiences. But nothing like I recently encountered, and in fact, am still trying to comprehend.
In a past blog entry I wrote about the different types of love, silver love being the loftiest. Well, one of the most compelling experiences I recently had relates to this subject. Yet how do we speak of love without getting a bit romantic, mushy, or starry-eyed about it? Well, not so fast. For the way I truly want to communicate this to you is more in a way of comprehension, not romanticism. Is that clear at all? So, let me attempt to clarify.
Every once in a while one of the things that happens to me in meditation, especially a deep one, is what comes to me are pieces of information that I am not readily able to comprehend. It’s like someone speaking to me in a foreign language backwards. But usually it comes to me like when you download an online zipped file to your computer. You first have to download it properly, then you have to unzip it, and then use the proper application so you can interpret it and get any use out of it. Well, sometimes it seems it happens about like that. Except …
Except, it isn’t always that easy to unzip. And that is exactly what happened to me recently. I felt I received (downloaded?) some very large zipped files in meditation that only now I am beginning to unzip, and am in the process trying to comprehend. For without comprehending then, what is the point?
I have realized that the process of unzipping these files and then comprehending their content involves practicing a series of deep meditative techniques. Which can take several weeks, if not months to work through. Well finally, after almost a month removed from the original ‘download,’ some pieces are coming to me. And that is what I am attempting to share (clarify?) today.
And that has to do with what we so easily call ‘love.’ In that previous post on silver love I referred to above, I clinically laid out the different types of love we practice and express between ourselves, and sometimes our deities. However, is it possible there is even a higher type of love? Or maybe is it just a more complete comprehension of silver love? For now, I am going to call it Elevator Love. For that is what I want to discuss, and what I feel I experienced.
To discuss this more thoroughly I want to put this unformed idea of Elevator Love aside for a moment and introduce three other concepts first. And then bring that idea back in order that I can fit them all together to fully form, at least as much as I can, the whole idea. Please bear with me. OK?
1. Horizons. Are we able to glimpse beyond an horizon? Can we? Is it possible? If so, what does that mean? In actual life, it seems we can never really glimpse beyond whatever horizon that our senses can perceive. However, what if we could? I stipulate that if we could we would comprehend, “grok,” (check link if you don’t know the meaning) that this place, this life is an illusion, only a shadow of a possible reality. (See event horizon for a close approximation concept)
2. Inner Sound. I have previously mentioned that I practice a fairly advanced form of sound current meditation called Audinometry. (Go here for more specific info, or here for more general info) For me this system is very powerful, and very fulfilling, yet at times somewhat elusive. Such as now, when trying to explain this experience. Very briefly, this spiritual inner sound harmonic is in all of us, and there for our use, if we so desire. It is an energy source, energy protection, an energy tool, a comprehension delivery system (which I’m finally figuring out more of), and maybe even more profoundly, it is an expression of divine love, the kind I am trying to explain right there.
3. Critical Mass. This term is usually used in nuclear physics, but I will loosely apply it to metaphysics. Reaching critical mass is reaching a self-sustaining energetic state, not dependent on any outside source to maintain this stasis, and this state becomes a fertile ground for further progressive growth.
Now, back to Elevator Love. Put those three ideas (experiences!) above together. A glimpse beyond the horizon. A high, wide pipeline of inner sound (spiritual energy) to store. A moment of critical mass. And this is what you can get. The comprehension of Elevator Love. Not those types of loves previously discussed in other postings, for they mostly refer to love between people and the love people have for their deity. But what about the love that a Master Creator has for its creation, us? How powerful is that? How elevating can that be? How amazing to comprehend? And what a great happiness to experience.
I have a strong feeling that the love we human beings have for each other is such a small sample of what that can be, that it barely registers on this cosmic scale. And yet, I wonder, are we the seeds?
Is this how life extends itself? Spiritually? Through each of us, beyond the horizons of time? Through the spiritual harmonics of celestial music? Critical mass ensues … and then we wake up? More alive than the day before? In a place of great happiness? Of amazing happiness? And is this place the sweet promise of our true divine heritage … yet so unrealized by so many? I think there is a way … to travel, to find, to comprehend, and to wake up.
In the end I think this so-called Elevator Love lifts you up, and puts you on the road to your future beyond this illusion, on your path to you becoming … the real you … in your proper place in the scheme of this divine universe.
Yes, certainly more to comprehend and figure out as we move along the path. For before my next download, I still have more files to unzip, and hopefully translate.
And finally, I shall leave you with this last thought (to smile about) …
“Love is the immortal flow of energy that nourishes, extends and preserves. Its eternal goal is life.” — Smiley Blanton
